Carl Fogarty often known as Foggy won the Superbike World Championship four times and remains one of the most successful riders in the history of the sport with a remarkable 59 wins, 109 podiums and 21 pole positions.

This 1998 Shark RS2 Helmet painted in his distinctive design was worn by Fogerty whilst riding the Ducati 916 in the European round of the championship at Brands Hatch. He finished 4th in the first race and 2nd in the second. Following his podium his home crowd were cheering for the Champion elect and he threw this helmet into the stands. Sold by the lucky recipient at auction some 14 years later it comes complete with photographs and the tickets from that day.

A significant piece of motorcycling history with additional interest around the way the rider gave it away.
