Bristol 100 D-2 Rebuilt Engine.

The engine is a 9:5:1 compression with an Ian Nuthall fast road cam, Cosworth pistons and rings. The engine was new old stock held by AC, which was then purchased and fitted to a Bristol. The engine was subjected to an extensive rebuild in 2018 having covered 68,000 miles from new. (Documented service history from the previous owners usage comes with the engine). The engines major overhaul was managed by Andrew Mitchell, of Mitchell Motors in Wiltshire. This included new bearings, guides, valves among other components and has covered 3,500 miles since in an AC Aceca. The engine comes with the paperwork covering the restoration.

The 100D2 is the fast road Bristol engine to have, generating somewhere between 140-150 bhp. These engines are mostly fitted to sporting road cars such as AC Aces, some Acecas. The engine is complete aside from ancillaries, presenting a perfect opportunity to build up to spec for competition or road use.

This lot is located in the United Kingdom.
