School for Scoundrels was a British comedy film released in 1960 starring Terry-Thomas who was renowned for playing disreputable members of the Upper Class. In this film he drove an eccentric car called the Swiftmobile a converted 1928 Bentley 4.5 with a Freestone and Webb coupe body (Chassis AB3363).

When the car was finished with at Elstree Studios the consignor of this lots father went and bought it with a view to restoring it back to Bentley specification which he subsequently did throughout the Seventies.

The original poster inviting people to go and see the car was given to the buyer at the time and the Elephant Mascot is the original from the Swiftmobile. The poster must be incredibly rare and ultimately possible the only one that survives today and the Elephant is unique.

A wonderful lot representing both film and motoring.

This lot is located in the United Kingdom.
