Bob Freeman Pencil Illustrations: Bugatti
Lot 188 | Memorabilia Online - Part 1
Bob Freeman was a celebrated British Motoring artist who with his technical approach preferred to be known as a mechanic with a pencil.
His art which often graced the pages of magazines in the UK was also used in the programme for the renowned Louis Vuitton Concours held annually at the Hurlingham Club in London. His depictions of the cars in their simple form were used to show guests which cars were on the lawn and part of the event.
These six illustrations in pencil on tracing paper of various Bugattis are examples that were done for these programmes. Some of the most beautiful lines on cars such as the Royale and Atalante, these pieces would look fantastic framed and on a wall in any home or garage.
This lot is located in the United Kingdom.
