The W.M.R.A.C. (Womans Motor Racing Associates Club) aka The Doghouse Owners Club was established in 1962 as the brainchild of the wives of the British Grand Prix drivers and the founding committee included Mrs Colin Chapman, Mrs John Cooper and Mrs Graham Hill (Bette).

The club always promoted friendship, support and fundraising and these porcelain plates which were produced in 1992 were part of a charity campaign to raise money and indeed were similar to those that were done in the 1960s.

The plates carry the Doghouse logo in the centre with the printed signatures of Formula Ones drivers from the 1992 season, including World Champions, Ayrton Senna, Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher, Mika Hakkinen and that years victor Nigel Mansell.

The 4 plates offered here came from the personal collection of Bette Hill.

This lot is located in the United Kingdom.
