David Coulthard is one the most statistically successful drivers to have never won a Formula One World Championship. Having won 13 Grand Prix during a Formula One career that spanned from 1993 until 2009, he finished second in the world championship on one occaison and third four times. David won races in eight of the seasons that he entered in Formula One.

This rare Arai GP5-RC was used by David during the 2007 season with Red Bull. The helmet was painted by Mike Fairholme Designs and is signed on top with dedicated that the helmet was auctioned for charity for the GPDA (Grand Prix Drivers Assosication). Numbered MFD 07-7 during a time when painters logos were under closer scrutiny and reduced in size. The typical visor padding and buffer to keep open slighly as per David's preference is visible.
